So Nine Inch Nails was denied permission by its former label, Interscope Records, to film an expensive concert DVD that included songs Interscope legally owned. Naturally, the band’s response was to drop 400GB of HD footage from three concerts, each filmed from three different angles, on its BitTorrent tracker, with a message to their fans to edit to their heart’s content. The more polished edits have started to trickle in over the past couple of days- this clip of the band performing “Ghosts 31” has particularly awesome visuals, all created with unimaginable quantities of LEDs. Here’s a clip of “999,999/1,000,000”, and here’s the main website where work on the definitive fan-edited DVD is being compiled.
