Who Knew?

B-Roll [January 26-February 13, 2010]

  • MusicDNA, a multimedia format for audio (like CMX or iTunes LP) was unveiled at music industry conference MIDEM: it’s DRM-free, but to receive updates to auxiliary content (like new music videos), you’ll have to authenticate.

  • I’ve been looking for something like this - Uniform lets you style checkboxes, drop-down menus and file upload inputs with jQuery.

  • A Microsoft acquisition of RIM would be the single best thing for MSFT’s mobile strategy but probably a horrible thing for the maker of the BlackBerry. eWeek further explains why it could be a bad idea.

  • Veoh declares bankruptcy and lays everyone off. I’m still amazed that they lasted this long! Remember when they republished Hulu videos on their site and publicized it as a “partnership”?
