Trevor Rabin is a genius
The score to the movie “National Treasure” (as well as its amazing sequel, “National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets”) was composed by a man named Trevor Rabin, and I’m telling you that this man is amazing. He knows how to keep things mellow, almost sounding like Thomas Newman. Then a chase or heist scene comes out of nowhere and suddenly he pulls out the strings and the woodwinds and BAM! you realize you’re in a Jerry Bruckheimer movie and the symphony is fucken intense and it’s almost like Pirates of the Fucken Carribean. but then just as abruptly as the chase scene started, it ends, and he just seamlessly transitions back into Thomas Newman-style orchestration.
I’m telling you that this man is amazing. Buy ten copies of all his CDs, you won’t be disappointed.
