Gizmodo’s “leaks” of Microsoft products (last night the “astonishing” Courier Tablet and tonight the Pink Phone) feel like product announcements veiled as an industry leak. The deliberate use of particular language like “we’ve heard” and “appears to be” combined with pseudonyms in the byline sounds like something that came from a marketing department rather than a journalist.
Also, you notice how there’s nothing negative about the products in these posts whatsoever? They’re marveling over
concept renderings.
