Who Knew?

THE MOTOROLA CLIQ

Motorola’s been hemorrhaging money ever since its RAZR went out of style with The Youth - they had a bestselling phone with horrible software and hardware, and failed to realize that trendiness was their product’s only redeeming quality. But Motorola’s fortunes may change with the new Cliq, announced today- it’s the first phone running MOTOblur, a slick-looking skin of Google’s Android OS which heavily emphasizes social networking.

One aspect of MOTOblur which should be a no-brainer by now for any smartphone manufacturer appealing to The Aforementioned Youth: when you get an incoming call, it displays their Facebook, Myspace or Twitter status below their picture in the calller ID! If someone lists their mood as “explosive”, perhaps you would want to screen the call.
