Apple introduced Final Cut Studio 3 today - a really nice update. I actually think every complaint I have with FCP has been addressed: easier speed changes, a retooled export tool for easy compression to mobile devices and even YouTube, iChat integration, better render management and the ability to export in the background, a better tab system and support for more codecs. Obviously, Motion still pales in comparison to After Effects, but no big deal - it’s usable for quick graphics work. And even better, the whole package is $999, which is $300 cheaper than the previous version.
Here’s a list of all the new features.
